"It is an awesome privilege to lead a faith community such as Dargaville Baptist, whose foundations are deeply rooted in the Lord Jesus Christ. The ministries of our church do not have the ability to change anyone's life, but we know someone who does- It is our Lord Jesus Christ, and we would love to talk more about him with you.
Our desire is to be a God centered and caring community of individuals, who are excited to extend to you the same love that we have received from Jesus Christ. As a church family, we encourage deeper relationships and accountability with each other.
Our intent is to be a living expression of God’s love and reflect God’s purposes in our community. The Bible says in Colossians 1: 28 “We announce the message about Christ, and we use all our wisdom to warn and teach everyone, so that all of Christ’s followers will grow and become mature.” We who are, the lost and the found, the wise and simple, the leaders and the learners- together strive to become the people of God.
We want everyone will feel welcomed as we grow together to know Jesus and experience his closeness through our worship services. However, if you have not already come to know the saving grace of Lord Jesus, we pray that you will come to know him here in our faith community.
If you are looking for a church home that would provide biblical teachings, an atmosphere of worship, and an openness to the Holy Spirit, and friendship for you and your family, I warmly welcome you.
God bless you,

His Word Shines Light
In today culture, everywhere we hear warnings about ‘disinformation’ and ‘misinformation’. How are we to stay ‘clearheaded’ when we don’t know what we can believe? “But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armour of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.” 1 Thessalonians 5:8
The Apostle Paul writes to the church in Thessalonica; this town was under the domination of Rome. ‘Peace and Security’ was touted as the outcome of Rome’s unflinching domination, under which no contrary views were permitted. Taking the view that Jesus was their ultimate Lord, led to great hardships for the believers there. Yet they persevered, even to death. Paul encouraged these followers of Jesus and said that, truth would grant protection from the misleading and coercive clamour around them. Sanity was their beacon amidst the delusions of the world.
So how do we today protect our minds from being misled? This letter points us to keep clearheaded: We are to resist evil and dishonouring practices. We are to rejoice, be thankful, and pray. Furthermore, we are to realise that our Lord Jesus will return for us. Even if we feel our world is in a dark night, Jesus will return and bring His light. As we wait with certainty and hope, let us look regularly into His Word. For it is there that we find unchanging truth. We can keep our minds clear, despite the changing social mores and invasive lies around us, for His Word is timeless and shines light in all circumstances.

The Biblical foundation upon which our church has built its mission focus is found in Matthew 28: 18-20 where Jesus gives us the command (v19); “go and make disciples of ALL nations...” But is that a command every disciple has to go to all nations? Yes, but not necessarily in person. There are those who are called by God to go in person but because they are part of one family, the whole family becomes involved. As a result of this, we created the entity called, Global Partnership Team and have formulated the following goals:
1. To encourage global thinking, and a global vision in the way we live our lives.
2. Selection of missionaries and oversees workers to support, and ensure ongoing encouragement, financial and prayer support.
3. To open up pathways for local congregation members to serve God overseas.
